New for Kids: Disciples in Training
Beginning March 1, we will offer a new opportunity for children during the 11:00 a.m. worship service: Disciples in Training.
The children will begin worship in the sanctuary, and then, after they come forward for a Children’s Moment, they will go to the Education Building with volunteers for a Bible lesson and other activities. They will return to the sanctuary before Communion so that they can participate in offering and Communion with their families.
We have several teams of volunteers who will be working with the children. Pastor Karen will be working with them, too. The lessons will follow the lectionary, which is what the congregation will be hearing in worship, too. Our hope is that families will take advantage of this opportunity to discuss the scripture they and their children both learned about Sunday morning during the week.
