DESCRIPTION:If you are not familiar with the Young at Heart\, it is a Christian fellowship group that seeks to empower and enrich the lives of senior adults in the new roaring twenties of the 21st Century. It is a “youth” group for the young at heart. \nPeggy plans to create monthly events that will feature not only great food but also memorable life enriching activities such as special guest speakers to address senior concerns\, fun activities\, local entertainers\, field trips and service projects. \nThis group seeks to build our love for one another by getting to better know our brothers and sisters so that we may care for one another. This is important as some seniors find retirement to be lonely\, scary\, and lacking meaning and purpose. The Young at Heart fellowship seeks to enrich and empower seniors of all the possibilities for a new and exciting chapter in their lives and faith journey in a loving community. \nThis group is not closed to only our church family. We intend that this ministry provides us opportunities to love our neighbors by inviting and including them in our fellowship. We seek to intentionally reach out to new residents and neighbors who do not have a church home. DESCRIPTION:The Lenten season begins Wednesday February 26\, with Ash Wednesday. \nWe will be offering a pizza and salad supper for those who would like to have a meal before the service. We will have the pizza and salad ready by 6:00 p.m. Donations will be collected to cover the cost of the food. There will be a signup sheet in the Narthex this Sunday; please add your name if you plan to eat with us.\n\nThe Second Family high school and young adult group will meet at 6:00 p.m. as planned. They will have pizza and salad as well. Their group will meet in the Education Building for their meal and fellowship.\n\nWe will have a Lenten devotional booklet this year focusing on our relationship with Christ and with our Earth.   We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of the booklet and to take only one per family please. If more are needed\, we will have to order additional copies after Ash Wednesday. The devotionals will be available at the Ash Wednesday service.\n\nWe look forward to the season of Lent and a time of reflection.
